Description
Wow ok, this took a long time. So I decided to do the descriptions down here since there wasn't enough room. This meme does not include my traditional art!!
2012:
So this is the embarrassing first stage every artist goes through. Using bases, not knowing what they're doing, etc. My friend introduced me to digital art, and I had just gotten a laptop, and those two mixed to create this (end of 2012) year of art. If you're at this stage now- stop using bases and practice! It may seem impossible but it will do good for you.
Early 2013:
So here's where I stop using bases and practice using my mouse. I tried realism a few times, got harassed to the point where I almost quit this site, and gave up. I did make some great friends though, and they helped me through it.
Mid 2013:
Here, I have a lot of free time over the summer and all I do is practice. Every day, 6 hours+ a day. I experimented with styled, developed Cammi more, and just worked really hard, and saw some results.
Late 2013:
I practice more with backgrounds and attempt anthro. The third image here is still one of mu favorite art pieces, even though I've improved since then. It just had a lot of emotion in it, which I practiced as well. Here, I also asked for critiques, and although they hurt a little, they really helped me. I suggest anyone wanting to improve does the same.
Early 2014:
Ah, the year of the most improvement! Here, I work on Cammi again, give up on background a little bit, and watch lots and lots of speedpaints to help me draw. This is where I got my tablet, and I had to begin practicing with that as well. Tutorials became my best friends.
Mid 2014:
I do a lot of Cammi drawings as was going through a lot, and practiced my creative ideas more. I worked on my lining to make it smoother, worked on overall anatomy, and just did a lot of plain practicing.
Late 2014:
My laptop broke before I reached this stage, but even without it I still made the most improvement. This contains my favorite and best art pieces. I did a lot of traditional work now, which gave me a hand with lineart drawing. I start to work on adding more details and practice backgrounds once again.
To my new watchers, yes, that's what my old art used to look like. Scary.
To my old watchers, thanks for sticking with me all these months, it was you who motivated me to keep on working hard <3
